Mayor and Council

Mayor Robert G. Connors

Mayor Connors, as well as being on all Committees of Council, is chairman of the Labor Relations Committee, Public Works Committee, Protective Services Committee, and is a member of the Finance Committee. He is active on other Committees of Council, such as Infrastructure, By-law Review and Waterfront Development.

Mayor Connors represents the Town and community on the Southwest Development Corporation as its chairman. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Enterprise Central New Brunswick. Mayor Connors is a member of the Ron Berube Awards Committee, Community Days Committee and Citizens on Patrol.



Deputy Mayor Rowena Simpson

Deputy Mayor Simpson is chair of the Finance Committee. She also chairs the Employee Appreciation Committee. Deputy Mayor Simpson is Town liaison for the Wellness Committee, the Interdisciplinary Committee, River Valley Life Line, Otis Culliton Historical Trust, and a representative for Enterprise Central New Brunswick. Deputy Mayor Simpson is co- chair of the Nackawic Adjustment committee.



Councillor Ian Kitchen

Councillor Kitchen serves on the Protective Services Committee, Emergency Measures Organization, Finance and Recreation Committees. Special committees of Council that Councillor Kitchen serves on are Scholarship Awards and Waterfront Development. He is liaison with Enterprise Central New Brunswick.



Councillor Jacques Laroche

Councillor Laroche is council representative on the Planning Advisory Committee, Chairman of the Industry Committee, and member of the Finance and Library standing Committees. Councillor Laroche is chair of the By-law Review Committee. Other committees that councillor Laroche serves on, or is liaison for are Well Field Protection, Municipal Pension Board, Fredericton Airport Authority, Nackawic Adjustment committee, and Chair of NREDT. He is representative on Enterprise Central Advisory Committee.



Councillor Brian Grant

Councillor Grant serves on the Recreation Committee and Public Works Committee. Councillor Grant is liason for the following organizations: Mactaquac Country Chamber of Commerce and the Nackawic Region Economic Development Team.
